Evidence, Not Adjectives
What we inspect, what we document, how far back a part can be traced, and who is answerable when something is wrong. Every statement on this page is backed by a certificate, a report or a procedure you can ask to see.
Every statement on this page is backed by a document. Ask for the report, the procedure or the certificate and it will be produced for you to check. Request documentation
A quality system is worth exactly as much as the last report it produced. Ours is built around one principle: if a claim cannot be supported by a document, it does not go on the site, the quotation or the certificate.
Machining and inspection run under the ISO 9001 system held by Baoji Tuohang Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. — the same entity that signs your contract. Material entering from the melting and forging side of the group is treated as controlled incoming product and verified before it is released to a machine.
Quality System
How the system is organised
Four elements, and the order matters: control the incoming material, control the process, verify against the drawing, then record it in a form someone else can read six months later.
Incoming Control
Material is received against its certificate, identified by heat and batch, and verified before release. Material whose origin cannot be evidenced does not enter an aerospace order.
Process Control
Route, tooling, parameters and inspection stages are fixed during process planning. Verification is built into the cycle rather than left entirely to a final check.
Final Verification
Dimensional layout and the NDT specified on the drawing, recorded against the part number and the batch, and issued as reports that ship with the parts.
Records & Traceability
Heat, batch, part number and inspection results held in one record, so a question raised later is answered from data rather than reconstructed.

What we inspect, and against what
Four inspection families. In each case the acceptance criteria are the ones your drawing and specification call out — we do not substitute our own. Dimensional verification is backed by high-end equipment including a Nano CMM running Rational DMIS, with a stated probing error of R ≤ 2.5 µm. NDT planning and interpretation are handled by staff trained in RT, UT, MT and PT.
| Area | What we do | Basis / acceptance | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chemical composition | Composition verified for the material released to each order, traceable to the melt heat number. | The material standard cited on the drawing (GB / ASTM / EN), to the limits of that edition. Method: | Material certificate, EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 as specified |
| Mechanical properties | Tensile, hardness and, where specified, impact testing on material released to the order. | The property minima of the specified standard and condition. Test piece location and orientation: | Mechanical property results on the material certificate |
| Non-destructive testing | Ultrasonic testing (UT), penetrant testing (PT) and radiographic testing (RT), performed as specified on the drawing. | The method and acceptance class called out on the drawing and the referenced NDT standard (GB / ASTM / EN as applicable). | NDT report stating method, coverage, acceptance class and result |
| Dimensional inspection | Full dimensional verification against the drawing, including geometric tolerances, on coordinate measuring equipment and with conventional measuring instruments. | The drawing and its GD&T callouts. Measuring equipment and measuring volume: | Dimensional report; FAI to AS9102 where required |
| Surface and visual | Visual and surface condition checks, including edge condition, blending and surface integrity where the drawing specifies it. | Drawing notes and the referenced surface or acceptance standard. | Recorded on the dimensional report or the inspection record |
| Heat treatment condition | Condition verified against the drawing callout and recorded for the batch. | The specified condition and standard. Heat treatment performed in-house or by a controlled source: | Heat treatment record accompanying the batch |

Where a drawing names a standard without an edition, or names a method without an acceptance class, we ask before quoting. Values left blank in the table above are confirmed against the actual equipment and method for your order, and we will state them in the quotation rather than leave you to infer them.
Document Package
What ships with the parts
Three reports are issued as standard. First article inspection to AS9102 and PPAP submission are available on request.
- Material report. Chemical composition and mechanical properties, traceable to the melt heat number, issued as an EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 inspection certificate as specified on your order.
- NDT report. UT, PT and RT results as specified on the drawing, stating the method, the coverage, the acceptance class and the result.
- Dimensional report. Full layout against the drawing, including the geometric tolerances called out, recorded against the part number and the batch.
Available on request. First article inspection to AS9102 and PPAP submission. PPAP level and the supporting documents required: — specified by your programme and agreed before production starts.
| Document | Issued | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Material certificate — EN 10204 3.1 | Material manufacturer | Standard |
| Material certificate — EN 10204 3.2 | Manufacturer + witness | On request — state at RFQ |
| NDT report — UT / PT / RT | Tuohang | As specified on drawing |
| Dimensional report | Tuohang | Standard |
| First article inspection — AS9102 | Tuohang | On request |
| PPAP | Tuohang | On request — level |
| Certificate of conformity | Baoji Tuohang | Standard |
| Heat treatment records | As applicable | Where heat treatment is in the route |
One package, one identifier. The material, NDT and dimensional reports carry the same heat and batch reference, so incoming inspection can reconcile them against each other rather than against three separate suppliers' paperwork.
Traceability
Back to the melt heat number
Traceability runs from the finished part number back through the batch to the melt heat created at the melting stage. It is recorded before machining starts, not reconstructed afterwards.
- Melt heat number. Created at melting, with chemistry and melt route recorded against it and the number shown on the material certificate.
- Batch / lot number. The heat is worked into plate, bar or forging stock; batch identity, condition and test results travel with the physical material.
- Part number or serial. The batch is released to machining and the finished part number — and serial number where required — is recorded against it in the dimensional and NDT records.
- Retention and retrieval. Give us a part number and we resolve it back to the batch and the heat. Give us a heat number and we identify every part made from it. Retention period: , stated in the quality agreement.

Single Point of Accountability
One party is answerable. It is the one that signs your contract.
The group has two legal entities. From your side there is one.
Statement. Your contract, NDA, quality agreement and purchase order are with Baoji Tuohang Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Material produced by Baoji Qicheng Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. is purchased by Tuohang and supplied to you as part of Tuohang's obligation. If a nonconformity traces to the material, Tuohang owns the investigation and the corrective action. There is no second supplier for you to chase, because from your side there is only one.

Commitment & Nonconformance
What happens when something is wrong
A nonconformance found at your incoming inspection is not an argument about whose fault it is. It is a procedure with four steps, and it starts the day you tell us.
Behind that procedure sits the control that runs on every part, not only the disputed ones. Material is released against its certificate before it reaches a machine; the process route and in-process verification run under the ISO 9001 system; and the finished part is inspected and documented against the drawing before it is packed. Raw-material selection and precision machining are held to the same standard, on the same record.
- Log it. Raise the finding with the part number, the batch and the heat reference, plus the evidence — photographs, measurement results, the drawing callout in question. We acknowledge receipt and open a record.
- Containment. We identify and segregate affected parts and material in our own stock and work in progress, and tell you what else may be affected — including parts already shipped, if the finding indicates that.
- Root cause. We investigate against the recorded process and inspection data: material release, machining route, tooling, measurement. Traceability exists precisely so this step runs on evidence rather than on recollection.
- Corrective action. We issue the corrective action and, where the root cause warrants it, change the process or the control so the failure mode is prevented rather than merely sorted.
Response times. Acknowledgement window, containment window and corrective action turnaround are agreed in the quality agreement for your programme rather than published as a generic promise:
What we will not do. We will not argue that a material defect is a third party's problem, because from your side there is no third party. And we will not ship against a finding that is still open without telling you it is open.

Workshop Control
What is controlled, and where
Inspection only proves the parts it sees. These three controls run across the workshop — before, between and after the machining stages — so that a part reaches final inspection worth inspecting.
Shop environment
Inspection is kept separate from chip-making, so coolant mist, grinding dust and swarf do not reach a part that is being measured. Coolant is managed as a controlled consumable rather than replaced when a finish problem appears, and measuring equipment is calibrated to a schedule with the records available on request. Where a programme specifies a controlled metrology environment, the temperature and humidity limits: — stated in the quality agreement.
Material and process segregation
Titanium, aerospace aluminium, stainless and nickel-based stock are stored and cut as identified, separate lots. Batch identity travels with the material through cutting, machining and inspection, so stock released to one order cannot be consumed by another, and a finished part resolves back through its batch to the melt heat. Segregation is enforced at setup — before the part is made — not discovered afterwards in a chemistry report.
Foreign object and handling control
A machined part is exposed to foreign object damage from the moment the chips stop: loose tooling, swarf, wiping material, packaging fragments. It is controlled by containment at each stage rather than by a final look — benches cleared and accounted for at the end of every stage, work in progress staged off the machine, and bores, cavities and sealing faces covered before a part leaves its station. Handling after final inspection is restricted to the staff who packed it. FOD programme and check-sheet reference: — held in the quality manual.

Ask for the evidence before you ask for the price
Certificates, report templates, inspection plan and the quality agreement can all be reviewed before you place an order. Send the drawing and we will tell you exactly what documentation ships with it. And if a part reaches you with a problem, message us on WhatsApp or e-mail — the same channels you ordered through. We start solving it rather than explaining it, and the response target does not stop at the delivery date.
